BotBase for Operators: A clearer path to joining Cloudflare's directory of bots and agents
TL;DR
Cloudflare launched BotBase for Operators, enhancing transparency for bot operators by allowing them to track submission statuses and update bot information easily. This initiative aims to foster better communication between bot operators and website owners.
✦ Why It Matters
Submit your bot to BotBase today to enhance its visibility and improve interactions with website owners.
Key Takeaways
- Access BotBase via Cloudflare dashboard to submit your bot.
- Track submission status to understand review outcomes.
- Edit existing submissions to keep bot information accurate.
- Utilize the new taxonomy to describe your bot's behavior.
How It Works
The new submission process allows bot operators to provide detailed information about their bots, including what they do, how they use content, and who operates them. This clarity helps website owners make informed decisions about allowing bot traffic.
