Since mass production began in March 2026, Pebble has fulfilled over 80% of pre-orders for the Pebble Time 2 (PT2) smartwatch, with shipping expected to complete by the end of July. The software team has made substantial improvements, notably increasing the median battery life from 17 days to over 30 days through optimizations in PebbleOS.
New features in the Pebble SDK include APIs for touch screens and speakers, enabling developers to create more interactive applications. Community contributions have led to the development of over 2,120 apps and watchfaces for the PT2.
Additionally, the Index 01 functionality is now operational, allowing users to sync various tasks and manage reminders. Despite some hardware issues, including battery consumption and touch panel problems, Pebble is committed to addressing these through replacements and software updates.
