✦ Why It Matters
Evaluate your community's culture and take steps to foster inclusivity and respect.
Key Takeaways
- Assess your project's governance for inclusivity and accountability.
- Implement a clear code of conduct with enforcement mechanisms.
- Encourage open communication within your team to address concerns.
- Consider establishing a separate moderation team for sensitive issues.
How It Works
The author attempted to establish a code of conduct to address harassment and ensure a safe environment for contributors. This involved delegating moderation responsibilities to a steering committee, which ultimately failed to act effectively.
