ReFrame – The EPaper Camera
TL;DR
reFrame is an innovative camera featuring a color ePaper display that captures and showcases one photo at a time, enhancing the photography experience by making each image feel intentional and unique.
✦ Why It Matters
Consider experimenting with ePaper technology in your next project to create unique display solutions.
Key Takeaways
- Explore building your own reFrame camera using GitHub resources.
- Utilize the unique ePaper display for a deliberate photography experience.
- Experiment with dithered images for a print-like quality.
- Engage with the photography community by sharing your reFrame stories.
How It Works
reFrame's ePaper display uses six pigments to create images, which are dithered for display. When a photo is taken, it takes 15 seconds to fully appear as electrical charges move ink particles into place, resulting in a unique visual quality.
