Free way to get your data out of ChatGPT Business accounts
TL;DR
A new tool called scrapemychats allows users to export their conversation history from ChatGPT Business accounts, which lack an export feature. It creates a searchable offline archive of chats and files, ensuring data privacy.
✦ Why It Matters
Use scrapemychats today to securely export and archive your ChatGPT conversations before leaving your business account.
Key Takeaways
- Install Python and Google Chrome to use scrapemychats.
- Run a test export to ensure the tool works correctly.
- Allow the full export to run unattended for several hours.
- Access your archived chats offline with a user-friendly viewer.
How It Works
Scrapemychats automates the export process by controlling a Chrome browser window, logging into the user's ChatGPT account, and fetching conversation data directly from the ChatGPT interface. It captures both text and attachments, storing them in a structured format on the user's machine, which ensures data privacy and security.
